New York State Senate Purchasing Clerk in ALBANY, New York

The New York State Senate is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill an entry-level position in our Maintenance and Operations Department.Key responsibilities:Purchase Order ProcessingContacting vendors for pricing and availabilitySubmission to Senate Purchasing Agent or Procurement Officer for approvalManaging order from placement to deliveryBid ProcessingGathering specifications from relevant vendorsAssembling documentation outlining Procurement Lobbying Law and Vendor ResponsibilityManaging the bid record-keeping and notifications to winning bidderSubscription and Publications ProcessingMaintain subscriptions and publications for all Senate officesProviding Clerical and Administrative support as neededQualified candidates will possess the following:One year of Microsoft Excel experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTwo years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, but not requiredSalary range is $30,000 to $35,000, commensurate with education and experience.Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to jobs@nysenate.gov.
