Energy Analyst

Location: Remote New York - New York based applicants preferred

To support our strong growth, we are seeking a qualified candidate to provide Program Operations support as an Energy Analyst for ICF’s energy efficiency division. You will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple programs and projects across the Northeast with all levels of staff. What you will be doing:

In Support of Program Operations:

  • Performing basic quantitative analyses using Excel and Power BI to assist program management team

  • Putting together process flow documents to look for opportunities to increase efficiency and coordinate efforts across multiple teams

  • Collaborating with program leads to identify opportunities for automation via Macros, Power Automate, etc

  • Creating and maintaining Excel documents, Power BI reports, PDF forms and databases for internal tracking

  • Preparing and tracking weekly incentive invoices & energy savings

  • Supporting the finance teams to make sure invoices are paid in a timely manner

  • Developing and maintaining client reports and program document

  • Developing a relationship with our clients to achieve all programmatic goals

  • Other duties as required to support our work nationally and provide direct support to division leadership as needed

In Support of Energy Efficiency Programs:

  • Conducting desk review quality assurance/quality control of program partner reports

  • Liaising with subcontractors, stakeholders, and customer service representatives

  • Research on market trends and client needs

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy, Sustainability or related disciplines (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)

  • 1+ year(s) of professional experience in operational support, administration, data analytics, energy efficiency or related experience

Professional skills you will use:

  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with demonstrated experience in Excel.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize tasks

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions

  • Ability to synthesize information, think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of Power BI and basic programming is a plus (VBA, Python, etc)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$44,680.00 - $75,956.00
