TITLE: Deposit Operations Support Manager

LOCATION: Headquarters

REPORTS TO: Deposit Operations Officer

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Exempt

PAY GRADE: EX 55 ($55,841 - $85,000 annually)

AVAILABILITY: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Officer, the Deposit Operations Support Manager is responsible for the assignment, oversight and completion of daily departmental tasks that are required of the Deposit Operations team. This position ensures the work is completed thoroughly, with accuracy, and meets the regulatory compliance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the Deposit Operations staff under the direction of the Deposit Operations Officer, including the assignment and monitoring of work, assisting in issue resolution, and providing direction to the Deposit Operations team.

  • Reviews and approves assigned work from the Deposit Operations team, ensuring accuracy and quality of work meets expectation.

  • Responsible for assigned tasks (daily/weekly/monthly), including daily Fed Statement reconciliation, monthly analysis and reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts, Billing, Abandoned Property/Escheatment, other tasks as assigned.

  • Helps motivate and drive consistent vision and focus across the team, including producing high quality work and delivering an exceptional customer experience to internal customers/partners.

  • Acts as a liaison with the retail branch network and resolve and/or escalate outstanding problems in a timely manner.

  • Prepare various monthly metrics and reporting for Management review, which could include reports provided to the Operations Management Team, Executive Team and/or Board of Directors.

  • Maintains an understanding of all tasks completed by the Deposit Operations Team, to fill in and/or assist when required.

  • Actively engaged in project initiatives that fall within the Deposit Operations Department. This includes bank wide projects as well as those identified within the department.

  • Streamline processes within the Deposit Operations area to improve operational effectiveness and client experience through process analysis, workflow redesign and/or department assessments.

  • Assists in evaluating performance and providing feedback to the Deposit Operations Officer to use when coaching employees to ensure professionalism, exceed customer service expectations, and encourage career development.

    Education & Experience:

    1. Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred, or at least 5 years’ experience in the banking industry
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required, preferably in banking operations.

  • Strong and effective communication skills with professional and courteous style and commitment to an outstanding customer experience.

  • Must possess working knowledge of computer operating systems and various office automation software (i.e. Word, Excel, MS-Exchange, etc.).
