JOB SUMMARY

The Contracts and Grant Analyst position will be responsible for administrative services that will support the Research Foundation's business operations effort. The Contracts and Grant Analyst's primary responsibilities will be to support the efforts of the Finance department and Senior Financial Managers while supporting and collaborating with other operational departments.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide daily processing of the requisitioning of goods and services associated with design and construction contracts to include monitoring work in progress against project budget, schedule, performance matrix, certified payroll and MWBE compliance. Review trade payment breakdowns.

  • Perform MWBE function to maximize utilization participation, submit utilizations plans to sponsor agencies to ensure compliance with grant requirements

  • Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure submitted documentation is complete for the review and approval of invoices.

  • Provide aid to senior finance staff in support of the administration of sponsored grants and corporate partnership programs.

  • Assist with developing and implementing financial and administrative policies and procedures to improve compliance, strengthen internal controls and streamline processes.

  • Co-ordinate the processing of invoices for payment from external vendors and the review and approval of requisitions from internal departments.

  • Working with other internal departments and external constituents, resolves processing issues and ensures timely processing of all transactions.

  • Use of Oracle financial software and related business interfaces, including Excel, to create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and databases to efficiently monitor and track expenditures, and assist with various financial reporting needs.

  • Requires familiarity with applicable policies, rules, and regulations to be able to appropriately respond to requests and provide information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Contracts and Grant Analyst

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant, professional experience.

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and experience with other business system interfaces.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.

    This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with MWBE compliance, outreach, and certified payroll.

  • Relevant experience in a high-volume, transactional based position.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000

*Posted salary ranges are determined upon experience and education.
