Albany Medical Center Cancer Registrar in Albany, New York

Salary Range: Min. $21.78/hr - Max $34.85/hr

Collect and classify cancer patient information, diagnoses, treatments, staging and outcome from internal and external patient care sources

Collect and classify cancer patient information, diagnoses, treatments, staging and outcome from internal and external patient care sources. Assist in coordinating Tumor Board conferences for the cancer Program at Albany Medical Center. Participate at Tumor Board conferences and assist in completion of analytic studies of cancer patient care. Contribute to and assist in the efficient operation of the cancer registry according to the guidelines established by the New York State Cancer Registry and the American College of Surgeons Commision on Cancer.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Tumor Registrar

  • Must have strong working knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum 2 year college degree
