Description
We are offering a temporary to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Capital Region. As a Bookkeeper, you will be expected to ensure efficient and accurate financial transactions within our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately enter financial data and maintain records.
• Handle the process of cutting checks and log them for deposits.
• Separate duties between those who log checks and those who make deposits.
• Oversee and handle prepaid expenses and amortize these expenses accurately.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks and ensure all financial data is up to date.
• Communicate with vendors as needed to clarify any issues related to invoices.
• Maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) and ensure they are up to date.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to perform bookkeeping tasks.
• Handle the month-end close process efficiently and accurately.
• Manage payroll duties, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and solving them efficiently.
• Solid experience in managing accounts payable (AP), with the ability to process invoices and payments accurately.
• Expertise in handling accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, cash receipting, and credit control.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions align with bank statements.
• Proven track record in bookkeeping, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports.
• Strong data entry skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, using it for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Experience in month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Proficiency in payroll processing, including wage calculations, tax deductions, and payroll reports.
• Experience with QuickBooks, utilizing it for managing and streamlining accounting tasks.
