Description

We are in search of a meticulous, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to be part of our team located in Albany, NY. The main role of the Accounting Clerk is to organize office mail, enter and review data, and process payments. This role also involves matching and batching of deposits, and maintaining records of business transactions

Responsibilities:

Ø confirming checks are filled out correctly/completely

Ø grouping bill payment stubs and payment checks

Ø data lookups and data entry

Ø processing payments

Ø preparing bank deposits

Ø printing of receipts

Ø reconciling bank deposits to batch reports

Requirements

• Proficiency in auditing procedures and principles

• Experience with an adding calculator

• Familiarity with various accounting functions

• Ability to handle and process large volumes of data with high accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented approach to work

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
