Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Payroll Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting full cycle, bi-weekly, multi-state payroll processing for 1000 employees at a leading life sciences company focused on oncology research and cancer treatments. In this role, you will calculate Leaves of Absence, provide peer reviews for accuracy, manage retro calculation processes, and analyze data. Additionally, you'll handle stock option activities, process on-demand payments, manage the Time and Absence process, and ensure prompt response to payroll related inquiries.
Full cycle, bi-weekly payroll processing for 1000 employees
Support Payroll and month end close
Calculate LOA and provide peer review for accuracy
Complete, load, and provide peer review of manual EIBs
Manage retro calculation process and analyze data for accuracy
Validate stock option activity received daily from stock admin and track tax liability for payroll processing
Process stock option and exercise on demand payments
Validate on demand payroll for terms and NQ/Stock
Manage Time and Absence process
Perform analytical review of bi-weekly payrolls to ensure accuracy prior to sign-off
Perform analytical review of Workday reports for accuracy
Manage payroll e-mail and ensure 24-hour response
Complete and submit payroll VOEs
Initiate new state setup including 3rd party and POA requirements
Apply for tax IDs with state and local tax jurisdictions
