The Opportunity

This position is 5 days a week onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

We are recruiting for a Commercial Data Management Manager to work in our Alameda, CA headquarters. The primary role of the Commercial Data Management (CDM) Manager is to ensure timely, accurate, and complete availability of data to US Commercial functions. The CDM manager is responsible for working with data vendors, managing diabetes market related master data, prescription data and claims data and supporting data consumption. In this role, you will resolve data inquiries by partnering with the data source providers. This role will provide regular updates to senior management on the status of data assets and data projects. This is 5 days a week onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Internal and Field Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain agreement on business objectives and the action plan to achieve them.

  • Problem Solving: Demonstrate a strategic approach to achieve business objectives by asking strategic questions, aligning resources, developing an action plan, and evaluating action plan results.

  • Data Analysis: Maintain subject matter expertise with sales, marketing and media data sources and tools and apply this expertise to deliver high quality data and actionable insights.

  • Process: Consistently implements all Commercial Data Management protocols, procedures, and standards in a timely manner

  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Contribute to the team’s performance, actively collaborate within and beyond the team to design and ensure buy-in around solutions.

  • Leadership: Support an environment of candor; takes accountability

  • Communication: Communicate complex data and analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders within the organization clearly and effectively

  • Create intuitive analytics insights, build data science solutions, and measure the impact.

  • Design and manage the roadmaps, recurring process, and partner operational models for various data sources.

  • Maintain a US Commercial Data Catalog for sales and marketing data to serve as a central data asset repository and educate stakeholders on raw data inputs and compliance considerations.

  • Conduct data analytics using secondary data like Symphony/IQVIA/Komodo

  • Work with partners to develop time bound data and analytical goals for commercial data, track and monitor the progress and present the findings in a timely manner to stake holders.

  • Identify opportunities to integrate marketing data from various media sources (google, adobe, CRM, digital, social)

  • Develop Sales and Marketing insights using SAS/Python/SQL and operationalize these insights using Tableau/Power-Bi with Sales Tools Team and support the Tableau consumption layer for Sales and Marketing data.

  • Manage data change requests to ensure accurate digital, web and social media marketing data is loaded and reported.

  • Provide data for targeting, alignment, incentive compensation, analytics and KPIs.

  • Perform adhoc sales, marketing, formulary, claims data analysis for root cause identification and problem solving.

  • Coordinate with IT team and US Commercial data SMEs for expand the scope and build of the centralized data repository.

  • Understand new data sources and integrate them into overall data ecosystem.

Education and Experience You’ll Bring:

Required :

  • BA or BS degree

  • Must have strong technical expertise in Excel, SQL or Access skills.

  • Must have hands on experience in SAS/Python and broad-based awareness of other analytical tools.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in modeling tools using excel or any other analytical tools (regression, what-if, ROI)

  • Develops business-oriented results with appropriate level to detail, keeps the right people informed.

  • Proven record of handling complex analyses

  • Expertise in digital marketing data like web, google/adobe, third party media data, CRM data.

Preferred

  • MBA or master’s degree is preferred.

  • 12+ years of data and analytical experience desired, preferably in the healthcare industry in a Data Management or business analytics role.

  • 10+ years of experience working with IQVIA and/or Symphony Health data for enabling Commercial operations with Targeting, Alignment, Sales Compensation, CRM, and Analytics

  • 10+ years of experience with prescription, medical claims and/or longitudinal patient-level data

  • 5+ years’ experience working in Digital marketing data like google, adobe, social or third-party media, marketing platform.

  • High level of proficiency in SQL and Excel

  • Strong SAS/Python or other analytics tool experience

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with analytical and/or reporting tools such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI

  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (e.g., RedShift, Glue, S3, SQL workbench)

  • This job may be hired at different levels, based on the experience of the candidate.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
