Confidential Shipping Clerk in Akron, Ohio

Responsibilities:

  • Enter transfers accurately for components, WIP and finished goods as they are made in IQMS.
  • Call carrier companies for daily pick-ups.
  • Produce daily receiving reports and attach pack slips, truck bills and scan receiving documentation to IQMS.
  • Assist as needed to produce and collate Toyota production paperwork, summary reports, skid manifests and Kanban labels.
  • Advise shipping team members of outbound shipments for daily SAI and APPI as provided by information through IQMS & shipping/production meetings.
  • Store incoming goods in proper receiving locations by scanning into IQMS.
  • Produce shipping documents (pack slips, BOL's) in IQMS.
  • Access customer websites for scheduling trucks, closing orders, etc.
  • Assist in warehouse functions, IQMS records, pack slips, inventory, etc.
  • Input all daily receipts and pertinent information accurately & timely into IQMS.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies in IQMS inventory, negative reports and receiving.
  • Be able to use online shipping websites (UPS, FED-X, DL, etc.) for scheduling and preparing outbound international domestic packages.
  • Produce ASN's (Advanced Shipping Notices) on required shipments.
  • Responsible for meeting all quality, safety and environmental requirements including your share of housekeeping of the Shipping/Receiving areas/office.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Detailed oriented, accuracy imperative.
  • Computer Literacy- able to use MS Word, Excel, Shipping Database, Print/edit/construct labels and UPS/FEDEX internet shipping internet shipping instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing or orally.
  • Forklift experience and or certification.
