Senior Landscape Architect Professional - AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite - Akron, OH - JOB 24-00632 Salary Range: $85K - $130K Permanent Position with Benefits. At this engineering firm they will be design innovators, breathing life and passion into our design forms. They intuitively grasp the programmatic, functional and emotional components of landscapes and places. Their primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams executing all components of the projects, including preliminary planning and conceptual design, technical design development, design oversight, preparation of construction documents/technical specifications, and client interaction. Versatility and willingness to be flexible and take on a variety of tasks is essential. This is a full-time position. Occasional evening work may be required as job duties demand. REQUIREMENTS • Education: BLA, BSLA, or MLA degree from an accredited university • Experience: 10+ years in professional consulting field. • Certifications: Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA), LEED accreditation a bonus. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. • Passion for art, design and composition. • Exceptional level of design expertise and proficiency in developing design content in the areas of healthcare, corporate campus, higher education, k-12 Education, Parks, Green Infrastructure, and public realm projects, including all phases of design and construction. • Excellent understanding of grading and drainage design and ability to develop complex grading plans for site development projects. • Exceptional presentation skills. Public speaking and storytelling experience a plus. • Desire to work in collaborative teams and previous experience leading interdisciplinary design and planning efforts. • Knowledge of plant materials, terminology and planting design. • Excellent communication, time management, graphic and organizational skills. • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent leadership and organizational skills in a team-oriented environment. • Seeking candidates that have an excellent design portfolio. • Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the company's insurance plan. RESPONSIBILITIES • Train, lead and mentor planning, design, engineering, technical and construction associates. • Present as subject matter expert for specialized area. • Provide oversight related to the scope, schedule, and budget for assessment, planning, design and capital improvement projects. • Perform and administer complex planning, design and engineering work requiring an exceptional level of professional training and experience. • Perform long-term budget and capacity planning. • Develop, implement and maintain planning, design and engineering standards, including standard specifications and drawings. • Identify project risks and monitor/mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle. • Collaborate and regularly communicate with Director/Project Manager and other project staff on status of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget. • Establish and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients
