CHC MLT/ Medical Office Manager in Akron, Ohio
CHC Addiction Services is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat, inspire, support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohio's efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974. We are currently looking for a full-time Medical Office Manager to provide assistance to our medical patients and clients. Position will provide support services to patients, customers, visitors and staff by assisting in the following:
Duties Include:
- Provide supervision and support to assigned staff.
- Provide backup coverage to staff when needed
- Provide backup coverage to Lab staff as needed.
- Answering phones and relaying messages to staff and providing assistance to callers
- Meeting, greeting, and announcing patients and visitors.
- Enter patient and customer data into the computer
- Meet with Staff and Administration on a regular basis.
- Review, recommend and approve training for Lab Staff.
- Ensure staff supervised have appropriate certification and license that are verified for services they perform.
- Provides Supervision and support to assigned staff, by providing day to day oversight, facilitating departmental improvements through the creation of a positive work environment, analyzing program needs and development of program goals and action plans. Interview applicants
- Completes administrative duties including, but not limited to, staff evaluations in the appropriated time.
- Ensure staff are registered for and attend all appropriate trainings, to include CPR and First Aid.
- Ensure supplies for drug and alcohol testing are ordered and on hand.
Minimum Requirements: Must have Medical Technologist certification or degree from a 4-year Ohio Certified program, Ohio Certified Medical License, or equivalent. Two years lab training or experience and two years of supervisory experienced in non-waived testing. Experience/training in infection surveillance, in addition to some experience in epidemiologic principles and infectious decease, sanitation and disinfecting practice. Knowledge of adult education principles and/or patient care practice.
