Job Title: Shop Lead
Job Description
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Perform regular spot checks on all operators’ work to ensure parts are being fabricated in the correct order of production needs
Check cut list records and schedule software to ensure timely delivery of required parts to fabrication bays
Read blueprints competently
Setup, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of CNC machines including plasma burn tables, press brake, angle line, plasma coping machines, saw/drill line, etc.
Provide continual training to operators to ensure understanding of processes and procedures
Work to schedule production priorities
Update and change the production schedule as needed
Keep track of inventory and ensure stock is recorded by operators properly
Complete daily hand-offs and direction to swing shift
Determine root cause analysis for machine problems
Regularly communicate/coordinate with multiple departments to meet production needs
Maintain and promote a positive work environment
Ensure machine operators are recording daily maintenance check logs on machines as required
Support a LEAN fabrication mentality
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Airway Heights, Washington.
Work Environment
Working in a large shop environment. All welding is done indoors with open bays. Fabrication environment.
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:45am - 3:15pm. Fridays may be necessary when facility is running.
