Insight Global SCRUM MASTER [FULLY REMOTE] - AZURE DEVOPS + TECHNICAL TEAMS in Agoura Hills, California

Job Description

Our client in the veterinary services industry is seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, particularly Scrum, and will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching team members, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will work within an Azure DevOps environment and support projects relating to mobile app development and Data Engineering. Their scrum environment is mature enough that they have sprints planned through the end of the year, epics/stories/bugs/tasks, etc., but there is still room to grow/improve in retrospectives, grooming, planning, velocity, burn down, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities

  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Remove impediments and barriers to team productivity, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution

  • Track and communicate team progress, including sprint velocity, burndown charts, and release forecasts

  • Promote a collaborative and transparent work environment, encouraging open communication and feedback

  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed and prioritized backlog

  • Champion Agile best practices and serve as a change agent within the organization

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience working as an Agile Scrum Master in a software development and/or data engineering environment (previous experience supporting mobile app or data engineering-related projects strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, particularly Scrum

  • Must have experience working with Azure DevOps

  • Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) - Previous experience supporting mobile app or data engineering-related projects strongly preferred

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach, or similar Agile certification preferred null
