Position Overview: Inside Sales Specialist
We are seeking a proactive, motivated customer-focused professional to join our dynamic sales team in Geocomp’s Products Division in Acton, Massachusetts. As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our revenue growth, developing and executing effective sales strategies, and delivering cutting-edge laboratory systems for the geotechnical industry. You will be reporting to the Sales Manager of the Products Division
Your primary goal will be to maintain strong customer relationships; ensure forecasts, value propositions, budget quotations and proposals meet client needs and are sent in a timely fashion. Additionally, you will play an active role in the sales team to help meet targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop understanding of existing sales processes to ensure all budget quotations and value propositions are sent in a timely fashion.
Prepare and deliver budget quotations and value propositions to clients
Pro-actively support sales managers to exceed their sales quotas
Assure existing accounts are maintained and identify up-sell opportunities
Collaborate with other groups within the Division, including Production, QA/QC, and Support to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sales efforts. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, follow-ups, and exceptional customer service
Support the Sales Manager and Sales Account Manager when traveling to trade shows, conferences, and client meetings
Using Geocomp’s CRM and ERP, track leads, opportunities, and sales activities; provide regular reports to the Sales Manager
Work to understand unique client needs and challenges, and effectively communicate how the products division of Geocomp can provide tailored systems and solutions
Developed awareness of industry trends and competitor offerings and communicate key insights back to the management team
Identify bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and leverage technology to improve sales results
Ensure the sales team is correctly using all tracking and reporting tools
Help Identify and target potential clients in the US and abroad

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Math, Information Technology or related STEM field
Minimum of 3 years work experience in inside sales, customer service or CRM business analysis, preferably in engineering related industry.
Exceptional communication and customer-centric interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and generate insights
Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing business environment
Experience with CRM and ERP systems (knowledge of SAP is a plus)
Proficiency in using Salesforce software, CRM systems, MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others) and Google Sheets, or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to improve the sales process
