Position Summary

2-Year Fixed Term position.

The Global Program Manager works directly with the Privacy Director on privacy initiatives, projects, inquiries, and committees to assure that New York University's Global Network University is in compliance with applicable global host country, international, and U.S. laws and University policies. The Program Manager assures that legal, regulatory, financial and other risks are properly assessed and appropriate control mechanisms are in place and monitored. This position is responsible for reviews and publicizing existing University policies and procedures, and provides training and education regarding applicable laws, regulations and policies for all Global sites. This role develops and implements ongoing plans for communication of clear business ethical guidelines to the University community, and conducts or assists with Global Privacy Office investigations and otherwise monitor and oversee the University's efforts to fulfill its ethical, institutional and regulatory obligations throughout the Global Network University. This work assignment is a two year assignment and will be located primarily at the NYU Abu Dhabi campus. The role may require quarterly travel to the New York City campus.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years of relevant experience administering compliance or similar programs in a university, government agency, non-profit, corporate environment, or law office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:5+ years of professional experience in the area of privacy or related are within an academic institution, large organization, or government agency. Experience in a complex regulatory environment. Experience working in a global or multicultural environment. Experience in higher education is highly desired.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Well-developed understanding of federal, state and local legislation, ability to read, interpret complex regulatory and legal documents. and ability to communicate technical and complex concepts. Ability to communicate technical and complex concepts. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems; ability to respond effectively to confidential inquiries or complaints; excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work collegially with diverse personnel. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to travel internationally on University business as required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
