Bio-Techne IT Support Specialist in Abingdon, Minnesota

Bio-Techne is a leading supplier of life science products to the research industry. The company is growing at a fast pace both organically and through acquisitions. The European headquarters is based in Abingdon with a distribution centre in Dublin, and a manufacturing facility in Bristol. There are subsidiaries in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic, with further manufacturing sites across the USA.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a friendly, knowledgeable team, to assist with the day-to-day support of users, systems, and infrastructure, to ensure IT meets all business requirements as well as developing their own career within a rewarding and supportive environment.

The EMEA IT team currently provide remote and onsite support to some 500 staff across 8 sites within the EMEA region and closely interacts with Bio-Techne IT staff in other regions such as North America and APAC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• 1st & 2nd line user support and administration

• Assist in roll out of new hardware/software from procurement through to delivery.

• Manage user onboarding/offboarding requirements.

• ITSM Incident ticket management

• General Network/Infrastructure Support

• Assist where necessary with any IT led corporate initiatives including potential European travel.

Technology:

Essential

• 6 to 12 months experience and understanding of IT user/infrastructure environment.

Desirable

• Windows 11

• Active Directory/Group Policy

• Office365

• Networking – TCP/IP

• Windows 2016 Servers

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Driving License would be a benefit as there may be a requirement to work from an alternative UK site.
