Olympic Area Agency on Aging Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman in Aberdeen, Washington
REGIONAL LONG-TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN wanted *to serve Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. 1 position available. Based in the Aberdeen or Raymond office. Part-time position, 30 hrs./wk. Non-Exempt. $31.32/hr. - $41.09/hr. Benefits include: 12 paid holidays per year, paid annual and sick leave accrual, WA PERS pension plan, medical plan including vision, dental plan, EAP counseling, life and AD&D insurance. Serves as an effective and visible advocate for the well-being of long-term care residents within O3A's four-county public service area. Promotes both individual and systematic complaint resolution activities, including community involvement, administrative and reporting for assigned regions. Recruits and trains candidates for Volunteer Long-Term Care Ombudsmen throughout assigned region. Bachelor's degree in health, nursing, social sciences, psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, or closely related field and three years of social service experience with at least two years in the field of aging or geriatric long-term care. Must have a residential address within Grays Harbor or Pacific County. This position requires frequent travel within assigned service area plus occasional travel outside of assigned service area.
