Insight Global Secret Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP) in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

Day to Day:

  • Insight Global is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join a hybrid team for a large Government Integrator out of APG, MD. This individual will work collaboratively on a small team to evaluate and modify Digital Signal Processing (DSP) hardware and software to support military clients. Daily, this individual will conduct testing, analysis, and development efforts to perform signals analysis, compression, transformation, and analog to digital and digital to analog conversion. This candidate will get the opportunity to support critical government research and development programs related to signals-based microelectronics design and verification. They will provide technical and programmatic advice for a range of advanced systems, sensor, and computer processing technologies and programs to assist with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.

As a DSP Engineer, they will support the full life-cycle of design, development, test, fielding, and sustainment of advanced signals-based microelectronics systems, along with associated trust and assurance programs. Their technical analysis and design of digital signal chains will be presented as strategic recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients to impact technical program management, development efforts, government research, and the future of critical technologies for the DoD.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Conducts testing and analysis to identify vulnerabilities and potential threat vectors into systems and networks, develops exploits, and engineers attack methodologies.

  • Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge.

  • Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.

  • Works without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation:

$54hr to $84hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

· Secret Clearance minimum (SCI Eligibility)

· Bachelor's degree in the electrical or computer engineering field,

· 5+ years of experience within Digital Signal Processing (development and research across multiple device families/platforms, working within Software Defined Radio communication systems, converting signals from one domain to another, ect.)

· Experience with digital logic design (performing RF signal sampling, collection, error correction, transmission, compression, and transformation)

· Knowledge of multiple commercial and government signal types across the RF spectrum (encryption and decryption, scrambling, and capture of signal data) · TS or TS/SCI Active Clearance

· Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

· Experience with Digital Signal Processing tools and techniques, including MATLAB

· Experience with benchtop test equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, or Vector Signal Generators)

· Experience analyzing, refining, and executing test plans and procedures

· Experience developing technical documentation and reports

· Knowledge of Linux distributions, including Redhat, CentOS, and Kali Linux null
