Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cloud Architect to join our team! In this role you will be focused on high-level design, strategy, and planning and provide the overall blueprint for cloud solutions and ensures alignment with business goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

Cloud Strategy and Planning:

• Develop a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and objectives.

• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud providers, services, and technologies based on the organization's needs.

Cloud Architecture Design:

• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures for applications and services.

• Create detailed architectural diagrams and documentation to communicate the cloud design to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ensure that cloud architectures meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

• Assess and recommend cloud technologies, tools, and services that best fit the organization's requirements.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the organization leverages the most effective solutions.

Governance and Best Practices:

• Establish cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and secure cloud usage across the organization.

• Define and enforce guidelines for cloud resource provisioning, management, and usage.

Security and Compliance:

• Support the design of security measures to protect cloud-based applications and data.

• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Cost Management and Optimization:

• Design strategy to monitor and manage cloud costs to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budget constraints.

• Implement cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing resources, using reserved instances, and leveraging cost management tools.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

• Design disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud-based applications and services.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Must have a current/active Secret or above clearance.

• Levels and Degrees with experience.

• Junior – BS and 2-4 years of experience

• Mid-Level – BS and 5-9 years of experience

• Sr. Level -BS and 10+ years of experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Currently have a Security+ certification

• Experience in information extraction, analysis techniques, practices, and algorithms.

• Knowledge of advanced computer science and mathematical concepts, practices, and procedures associated with large datasets.

• Knowledge of data science technologies such as Hadoop or MapReduce.

• Experience with data mining or machine learning.

• Expertise in cloud computing, with the ability to work with massive data sets and complex algorithms.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements and compliance standards.

• Capability to work directly with stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range:

$86,700.00 - $176,600.00
