Sage Automotive Interiors Control Equipment Technician in ABBEVILLE, South Carolina

**Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Engineering Service Manager responsibilities include: maintaining all plant equipment, troubleshooting on plant equipment, maintaining computer systems, welding as necessary, ensuring all electrical systems operate properly, repairing circuit boards, maintaining PM sheets on equipment, working on breakdowns, maintaining air systems, doing daily routine and general maintenance. Each associate is responsible for their own safety.

Physical Requirements: *Standing- Perform daily work on plant machinery, to replace parts as needed for different equipment, to view computer and input information, to troubleshoot equipment, work off ladders, must be able to stay of feet for duration of a 12 hr. shift. Accounts for approx. 20% of the skill requirement *Sitting- Performed daily to attend meetings, operate computer and test equipment, work on power trucks, operate power trucks, perform electrical test, work on electrical boards and to plot SPC charts. Accounts for approx. 15% of the skill requirement *Moving- Usually in the form of walking to perform routine check on equipment, to water samples at the pond, to work on and inspect power trucks and hoist, to update charts/graphs and to audit the building and grounds. Must be able to move freely in a throughout weave catwalk 16 wide. Accounts for approx. 45% of the skill requirement *Climbing- Performed 5-10 times daily to climb a maximum of 18 steps to the gantry to work on head of machines. Use ladders to work on overhead items and to operate power equipment. Accounts for approx. 15% of the skill requirement *Lifting- Up to 25 lbs. To handle hand tools, equipment, hoist, power truck tires, operate electrical equipment, to access doors on power trucks and hoist. Performed 75-100 times daily and accounts for 15% of the skill requirement. *Pushing/Pulling- Performed 50-70 times daily to use hand tools, to move hand cars/buggies, to open/close gates/cabinets/drawer/doors/and to move chain operated doors. Must be able to push oiler, battery grease gun and pull various lever and handles on equipment. Accounts for 20% of skill requirement *Reaching- Must be able to reach freely to work on plant equipment, test waterand waste treatment, open and close file drawers, operate hand tools, answer phones, use computer, power tools.
