Veterans Inc. Licensed Clinician in 69 Grove St, United States

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England, is seeking to fill the Licensed Clinician position and become a valued member of Veterans Inc. team!

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Licensed Clinician will provide clinical leadership and support to all programs regarding program participant care and treatment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY

  • Provides psychosocial assessment and a full range of social services to program participants.

  • Support intake process of potential program participants by conducting phone screens.

  • Assists in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of funded programs.

  • Provides psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling to program participants.

  • Documents evaluations and case notes in participants' files.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Related Field plus a minimum of 5-years' experience in outreach, case management, and supervision. Doctor of Social Work Preferred.

  • LICSW - licensed independent clinical social worker

  • Management/clinical supervisory experience.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with veteran population; sensitivity to veterans-related needs and issues.

  • Knowledge of current career preparation, technology-based, and competency-oriented training methodologies.

  • Provide a positive image for the program, being a role model and empathetic support for the clients, while maintaining professional distance and objectivity.

  • Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including techniques for positive motivation, handling difficult people, and teamwork.

  • Knowledge of service areas, job market, economic and political trends, and resources.

  • The ability to successfully pass all Veterans Inc. pre-hire testing including, but not limited to CORI/Background and drug screening.

  • Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
