A Sr. General Ledger Accountant is needed at a growing start-up in San Francisco. They are in need of a Sr. General Ledger Accountant to assist with an unexpected vacancy in the office, and will only consider candidates with several years of staff or senior-level accounting experience for this role.

Sr. General Ledger Accountant Primary Job Duties:

• Prepares and posts recurring journal entries in general accounting

• Analyses and checks accounting data acquired directly by general ledger, or coming from Accounts Payable

• Posts accruals, accrued and deferred, every month/year-end

• Reconciles assigned GL accounts and maintains supporting detail

• Proposes adjustment journal entries and posts after approval

  Requirements

Sr. General Ledger Accountant Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or related field

• 7+ years of staff or senior-level accounting experience

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Works well independently and within a team

• Software: SAP strongly preferred, Strong Excel
