Leadership Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing non-traditional integrated communications plans that embed Diageo brands in key cultural moments and deliver against business objectives.

  • Be part of building culturally relevant brands through media relations, influencer marketing, earned advocacy, branded entertainment, partnerships, sponsorships/event activations and internal communications

  • Implement integrated campaigns that are aligned with brand strategy to drive reach, awareness, buzz and social conversation for brands

  • Bring forth innovative creative ideas that are measurable, relevant, provide positive brand exposure and are financially feasible to implement for brands

  • Collaborate across multiple internal departments including brand teams, media & productivity, innovation, commercial marketing, sales and partner organizations

  • Effectively manage external agencies and 3rd parties for best in class program ideation, implementation and delivery of results within budget & scope of work

Complexity of the Role:

  • Skilled in the art of media relations and message development

  • Must have experience working directly with broad range of media inclusive of digital, social, print and broadcast

  • Must develop strong cross-functional relationships internally and externally

Key outputs & Deliverables:

  • Bring forth ideas that drive brand fame, earned value and cultural relevancy

  • Develop and implement integrated campaigns and programs that drive shareholder value and generate growth against core brand and business objectives.

  • Develop robust creative briefs, in conjunction with brand teams, to inspire, motivate and unlock ideas from agencies and partners

  • Maintain and build relationships with editors, influencers and tastemakers

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ plus years of relevant experience in media relations, integrated communications, influencer entertainment and strategic partnerships

  • Experience in digital media and social communications platforms

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Great creativity, budget and product management

  • Flexible self-starter with a collaborative, team first, must-win attitude

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communication or Journalism
