WHAT YOUR DAY ENTAILS:

Your days as a Terminal Railcar Repair Manager are filled with the responsibility of overseeing welding and torch-cutting activities on railcars and leading a team of 10-15 associates. You'll be ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, FRA, and DOT regulations, promptly investigating accidents and injuries, and collaborating with safety specialists to implement preventive measures. Setting aggressive safety goals for your team, driving continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency, and managing the profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, you'll maintain regular communication with customers, monitor site performance, and identify potential upcoming capital expenditures, all while setting and monitoring specific developmental and performance goals for your subordinates. Your role will be dynamic, engaging, and impactful, making a real difference in workplace safety, operational excellence, and financial performance!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Welding certification

  • 5+ years of management experience, including P&L responsibilities

  • Railcar repair experience

  • Diesel or heavy equipment mechanical experience

  • Physical ability to work outdoors and be exposed to various weather conditions, wear proper PPE, use ladders and stairs, bend, twist, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs, and be active for long periods

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
