• Maintain the integrity,quality,and status of production systems data supported by the Financial Information Systems (FIS) team.
• Ensure that chart of account coding and other FINET coding elements have been properly tested,set,and validated during any project implementation.
• Review testing work conducted by the FIS Quality Assurance team to ensure that application and database updates do not negatively impact production systems.
• Coordinate with Finance management/accountants about any potential changes that may impact accounting processes within the production environment.
• Coordinate with the FIS Systems Operations Supervisor to act as the FIS production system gatekeepers to approve and verify all data changes before implementation.
• Coordinate with the Assistant State Comptroller and Agency Functional Contacts to validate all coding elements for new and or modified interface requests during the non-prod environment testing.
• Develop,modify,and manage the Division's data flowcharts for processes within our production systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Provide after-hours on-call production support for production systems.
• Coordinate with the FIS Systems Operations Supervisor to monitor our System Assurance jobs and troubleshoot/resolve issues as needed.
• Assist Financial Reporting,State Data Warehouse and other areas in the Division as needed for any data-related questions,concerns,or discrepancies.

The Best Qualified Candidate The best candidate for this role will have:

• A Master s Degree in Accounting,Business,or Information Systems or 5+ years of related work experience.  
• The drive to become the Data expert for FIS Operations/ Statewide ERP solution (FINET) and other FIS systems.
• Experience in Financial ERP solutions.
• Experience in data validation (especially financial coding data) in computer systems,ensuring that data/financial coding remains valid.
