Location:Hybrid with flexible office time at Richardson, TX, Hillsboro, OR, or Greensboro, NC

Drive the improvement of technical documentation at Qorvo by collaborating with external partners to evaluate the current tools, process, and structure of technical documentation.

Partner with others to select next-generationComponent Content Management Systems (CCMS)tools and drive adoption across the company.

Longer term, you will be responsible for the CCMS plug-ins, upgrades, flow efficiency, and subject matter expert assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the consultant partner to understand business requirements and develop strategies for implementing DITA effectively.

  • Define current process and content gaps, define content architecture

  • Define workflows, personalization, translation, reuse strategies, and style guides to standardize content creation and ensure consistency across projects.

  • Select DITA-based CCMS and legacy content migration strategy

  • Provide training and support to team members to ensure they understand and can effectively use DITA tools and methodologies.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of DITA implementation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions as needed.

  • Act as a champion for DITA within the organization, promoting its benefits and driving adoption and ownership among team members.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to DITA and content management, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Drive collaborative on-going conversations with key product line engineers for continual optimization.

Technical Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in technical writing, information technology, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years experience using DITA XML and CCMS for technical documentation

  • Proven experience working with DITA and associated tools (e.g., Heretto, Oxygen XML Author, DITA Open Toolkit).

  • Strong understanding of XML, XSLT, and content management principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to synthesize feedback to formulate roadmap and improvement strategies.
