job summary:
SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant will report to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for the integrity and
accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Record journal entries for month-end close timely and accurately
Research and explain financial statement variances to trend and budget
Reconcile G/L accounts, identify issues, and business and accounting knowledge to
work with the appropriate parties to resolve the issue
Prepare reports and address questions for business segment leadership
Work with the Assistant Controller to fulfill audit requests for the annual audit
Participate in other projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
A minimum of three years progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - extensive use of pivot tables, lookups, and conditional
formulas is required
- Experience working with a large ERP system such as SAP
EQUIPMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours
The ability to consistently operate a computer/keyboard
The ability to verbally communicate via telephone
