The Sherwin-Williams Company National Account Representative in Cleveland, Ohio

This position is responsible for driving sales and support in the Industrial National Accounts channel. Additionally, this position has direct Account management responsibility for National Accounts at a branch and district level within designated geographical territory. Position will work directly with Sales Manager to drive National Account strategic objectives. This role is also responsible for evaluating end-users and potential opportunities within National Accounts. Although subject to change based upon business needs this territory currently includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Mexico. Responsible for direct selling relationships with all levels of National Accounts, strategy development, and execution to drive sales growth with these opportunity accounts. Assist National Account Managers at identifying, planning, and converting large field opportunities. Create end user demand and awareness. Design and execute annual business plans to ensure POS Sales and Profit growth for assigned accounts. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License At least five (5) years of prior experience in Outside Sales and /or Account Management is required If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must be in role for 1 year or more, or have manager approval to proceed. At least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook) Willingness to travel as required for this position Preferred: Ability to interpret financial reports Knowledge of Industrial National Accounts customer base and the continuous improvement & solution selling process Ability to effectively manage a large geographic territory Comfortable presenting to large & small groups at all National Account levels Experience with and knowledge of Industrial Distribution is preferred.
