OhioMeansJobs|Cleveland-Cuyahoga County is sourcing a Cashier for Retail Company access in Cuyahoga County.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Accurately itemize and total customer purchases using a cash register following all company policies and procedures. 2. Collect money from customers and make correct change. 3. Obtain all necessary information on check purchases according to company policy. 4. Handle food stamp, coupon, credit card and other payment transactions accurately. 5. Lift and remove up to 25 pounds of merchandise from shopping carts and bag customers groceries correctly. 6. Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service. 7. Perform general housekeeping duties such as straightening store shelves, wiping down counters, and sweeping work area. 8. Able to re-shelve unsold merchandise. 9. Communicate effectively with the cashier supervisor and store management. 10. Able to stand for extended periods of time. 11. Able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and maneuver between aisles. 12. Able to work regularly and work a posted schedule which is subject to change as business dictates. 13. Follow company dress code policy and represent MGI with high standards. 14. Assist customers as needed. 15. Perform other duties as assigned. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Protect company assets by minimizing or reporting loss through error, damage or theft. 2. Ensure a safe, sanitary work environment for fellow employees and customers. 3. Provide outstanding customer service and relations. 4. Exercise common sense and good business judgment at all times.

First or Second shift, store closes at 9 pm.  Benefits for full-time
