Trinity Health Patient and Equipment Transporter - mixed shifts part-time (Boise) in Boise, Idaho

Description:

We are looking to add a Patient & Equipment Transporter to our team in Boise.

You will work part-time in the below schedule:

Sunday - 10am-6:30pm

Wednesday & Thursday -1pm-9:30pm

GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

As a Patient & Equipment Transporter, you will assist the hospital with the internal transportation of patients and distribution of assigned equipment as well as respond to customer questions and requests in a timely manner. Transporters execute established procedures for timely delivery of properly working equipment and customer services relations; could also assist on occasion with decontamination & inspection, if needed. Transporters could assist nursing with transporting dispensed medications along with other personal items such as hearing aids, dentures, glasses, etc.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.

  • Prior experience in customer service and/or patient care is helpful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

-Work as part of a team in order to rapidly respond to all requests for assistance and utilize appropriate patient transfer techniques.

-Ability to coordinate high volume of calls based on priority.

-Assist customers with any requests for information (through telephone or assigned personal contact).

-Efficiently respond to all patient transport and assigned equipment needs.

-Demonstrates use of transfer techniques and equipment as needed.

-Follows established procedures to ensure equipment is appropriately cleaned and staged.
