Due to growth, we are currently seeking applications from experienced Systems Engineers to join our highly performing Architecture and Technology team based at our Norwest Campus.

Let’s talk about the role:

At ResMed we focus on capability and passion. The role’s primary objective is successful performance of systems engineering activities to develop new Respiratory Care Technologies from clinical states through to technology solutions within ResMed Quality Standards.

In this role your duties will be rewarding and challenging. In order to be successful, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

• Innovatively challenging the status quo and researching disruptive technologies to de-risk potential technology solutions for delivery to Product Development while showing excellence in documentation, presentation and communication of work.

• Implementing appropriate systems engineering methodologies such as: FMEA, risk management, requirements management, robust statistical methods and problem-solving techniques.

• Working closely with ResMed’s product marketing team, key technology suppliers and external research organisations across the government and private sectors. An important part of your role will also be to decompose marketing and clinical requirements into system and discipline requirements while considering regulatory standards for applicable regions.

• Design and develop systems specifications, architectures, and design features to achieve overall performance requirements. So the stakes are high and quality is critical but there is a lot of satisfaction in building a product that has a profound impact on people’s lives.

Let’s talk about you:

At ResMed our Engineers are highly respected and seasoned, you will have an in depth knowledge in product or research & development within a quality assured environment. So you will have learnt a lot about how to design good systems, and you will want to share this with the team. This, coupled with design nous and a qualification in Systems Engineering or related disciplines will make you an ideal candidate for our newly formed role.

On a behavioural level, you will need to be curious to explore the complexity of our products, creative to design the next generation of products, and innovative to solve the trickiest problems. There is a wealth of technology here at ResMed, so you will need to learn quickly and deeply.
